Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking a Relief Cook to cover Saturdays and Sundays in a scratch-based kitchen, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner as scheduled while ensuring quality and portion control. This role focuses on delivering consistent dining experiences and building friendly relationships with residents and team members in a resort-style environment.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Available to work Saturdays and Sundays, 8 hours per day.
Able to read, speak and understand basic English.
Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
Able to secure food handler permits within two weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

Prepare and present high-quality dishes by cooking a wide variety of proteins and vegetables.
Engage in continuous improvement by contributing ideas during meetings and staying open to feedback.
Complete all opening and closing tasks for each shift and support teammates to maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
Keep stations fully stocked and organized, refresh pantry items, and monitor refrigeration.
Ensure a sanitary kitchen environment by cleaning work areas and checking temperatures.
