Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a licensed Social Work Associate to join our multidisciplinary team. Under supervision, you will support inpatients and day hospital patients and contribute to care planning and discharge planning.

You will provide group, individual, family therapy as appropriate, collaborate with psychiatrists, and serve as a liaison to community resources, while documenting care in the medical record and participating in treatment conferences.

Qualifications

• MSW student in a CSWE-accredited program; active coursework compatible with field placement.
• Experience on an inpatient psychiatric unit is required to qualify for this role.
• Good standing in employment/corrective action history and performance evaluations is necessary for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Participates as an integral professional member of a multidisciplinary treatment team led by the psychiatrist.
• Facilitates the therapeutic milieu on the treatment unit.
• Performs social work interventions as directed by the treatment team.
• Obtains and reports social history information to the treatment teams.
• Performs discharge planning/case management from the day of admission.
• Provides group, individual, family therapy as deemed appropriate.
• Acts as liaison for hospitalized patients with community agencies and resources.
• Attends treatment team conferences and completes treatment plans.
• Documents in the medical record.
