Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience in acute psychiatric setting preferred.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider card.
• CPI certificate or within 30 days.
• 6 months suggested experience caring for mental health patients in an acute inpatient setting.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age group served on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Implements and coordinates therapeutic activity programming for adult inpatients.
• Assists with evaluating and establishing individualized treatment plans.
• Documents patient progress towards goals in the medical record.
• Plans and implements the unit's activity therapy program, including daily events and special events.
• Conducts activity therapy group sessions and individual sessions as needed.
• Coordinates the planning and implementation of the unit's activity therapy program.
