Job summary

ComForCare Home Care – Central DuPage in Wheaton, IL is seeking a reliable CNA, Caregiver, or HHA to support a senior client on weekends. The role requires hands-on patient assistance and safe transfers using a Hoyer Lift in the client’s home.

The weekend schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, offering meaningful one-on-one care, competitive pay, and opportunities for additional hours and training from the care team.

Qualifications

• Professional caregiving or senior-care experience.
• Hands-on experience with a Hoyer Lift or mechanical lift.
• Knowledge of safe transfers, mobility assistance and fall prevention.
• Ability to provide respectful, patient-centered care.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently in a client's home.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation if required.
• Willingness to complete required screening and onboarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Use a Hoyer Lift or mechanical lift for safe transfers.
• Assist with repositioning, mobility and transfers.
• Support bathing, toileting, grooming and dressing.
• Provide incontinence care as needed.
• Follow safe patient-handling and fall-prevention practices.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan.
• Complete light housekeeping related to the client’s care.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition.
• Follow the client’s individualized service plan.
• Communicate professionally with the office, family and care team.
