Job summary

InReach is seeking caring weekend staff to support adults with I/DD in a residential home setting in Hickory, NC. You will assist with meals, daily living tasks, and recreational activities on Fri-Sun shifts.

Applicants should be at least 21, with 6+ months of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED. The role is part-time with overnight shifts; sleep time is not paid.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• At least 6 months of experience (paid or volunteer) with I/DD population or relevant experience.
• Prior group home experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care and hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Document activities and progress.
• Help residents develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.
