Job summary

InReach is seeking compassionate individuals to provide part-time IDD care for adults in a residential home in Charlotte, NC. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 8pm, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

You’ll support meals, hygiene, and daily living activities while documenting progress. Requirements include strong verbal communication, a willingness to help others, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal skills.

• At least 6 months of experience working with the I/DD population or relevant role; must be verifiable.
• A valid Driver's license.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Help residents develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Willingness to drive a full-size passenger van.

What we need:

Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC. Will be working a Part-Time schedule with approx 20 hours per week.
