Job summary

Ability Matters, LLC is seeking an Assistant Director of Housing for Weekend Services in Columbus, OH. This full-time role leads weekend housing operations, develops staff, ensures compliant, high-quality programming, and strengthens teams across residential programs.

You will coach leads, oversee scheduling and records, handle staffing and emergencies, and champion community inclusion to improve independence and quality of life for individuals served.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field preferred, or 3–5 years of leadership experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or in special education preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work Friday evening through Sunday, plus two additional weekdays.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Weekend Housing Operations: provide leadership and oversight to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality services throughout the weekend.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Leads through regular feedback, accountability, and professional development.
• Monitor daily programming, schedules, documentation, and records for accuracy to ensure consistency and strong outcomes.
• Manage staffing needs, call-offs, emergencies, and operational issues while making thoughtful, timely decisions.
• Promote community inclusion by ensuring individuals participate in meaningful community activities that build independence, confidence, and quality of life.
• Communicate with staff, families, and community partners to support person-centered services and continuous improvement.
