St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for weekend shifts.

The role focuses on hospital security for employees, patients, families and visitors, with responsibilities including rounds, lighting checks, escorts, and incident reporting. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and 1–2 years of customer service in a hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• 1–2 years customer service experience in a hospital setting.
• Fingerprints and background check during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Serve our customers and provide high quality service with care and courtesy.
• Treat customers/patients in a respectful manner.
• Report all accidents or incidents promptly.
• Correct and/or report any potential safety hazard you see.
• Take ownership for a safe, comfortable and clean environment
• Makes appropriate safety and security rounds.
• Maintains watch on the employee parking lot.
• Opens/locks buildings, as appropriate.
• Use/extinguish premises light & turn in a list of defective lights, as appropriate.
• Conduct/assist with missing person reports.
• Provide escort services to visitors.
• Maintain smooth control of traffic.
• Assist motorists involved in vehicle breakdowns.
• Maintains safety practices in the area of his/her assignment.
• Has oversight of the SOC (Security Operations Center)
• Handles Duties associated with the Operation of Metal Detector and Wanding
