Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Per Diem Weekend Receptionist to greet hospital guests, route calls, and assist with admissions. This role supports our mission through professional front-desk service and adherence to hospital policies.

Hours are Saturdays and Sundays 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a patient-facing environment that requires empathy and clear communication. Prior front desk or switchboard experience is favored.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Effective oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse population.
• Ability to make independent decisions upholding hospital policy.
• Previous office/front desk or switchboard experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable working with psychiatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Operates the hospital switchboard and paging system in a professional, courteous manner directing calls.
• Welcomes visitors to the hospital in a warm and helpful manner and maintains visitor log.
• Performs admission procedures and assists with admission forms.
