Job summary

Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Full-Time Per Diem Weekend Receptionist to greet visitors, direct them, operate the switchboard, and handle admission procedures. This private psychiatric facility has 108 beds and serves children to adults, with a mission to provide compassionate care. Hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m.

to 3 p.m. Prior office or switchboard experience is preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Effective oral communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions upholding hospital policy.
• Previous office/front desk or switchboard experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable working with psychiatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct hospital guests in a courteous manner.
• Operate the hospital switchboard and route calls appropriately.
• Perform admission registration procedures.
