Job summary
Residential Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) to provide end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Northbrook, IL area. The position offers a $9,000 first-year success bonus for achieving key milestones during the first year.
Hours are every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort, dignity and quality of life for patients and families, with opportunities for growth and ongoing
Qualifications
- Must hold an active RN license in the state where you work.
- Two years of RN experience with the clinical skills to deliver quality patient care; hospice experience preferred.
- Driver's license and ability to drive to patient locations ~20% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered hospice care in patients' homes.
- Perform urgent assessments, manage symptoms and pain, and provide end-of-life support.
- Support families during weekends and crises, ensuring clear information and reassurance.
- Exercise clinical judgment to coordinate care and maintain EMR documentation.
- Travel to patient homes within assigned territory.
