Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Hospice RN Weekender to deliver compassionate nursing and supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families. The role includes two 12-hour weekend shifts, with eligibility for full-time benefits, and requires strong communication and EMR skills.

The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans, educate families, and participate in quality improvement activities while maintaining GBMC Values of respect,

Qualifications

• ADN and/or BSN degree from an accredited institution.
• Two years of nursing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current MD nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients with life-limiting illness.
• Participate in an interdisciplinary team to develop patient-directed care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and infection control protocols.
• Document care in the chart accurately and timely.
• Support patient/family through end-of-life care and bereavement process.
