Job summary

OurCare of Connecticut in Norwalk, CT is hiring Homemakers and Companions for weekend shifts to support seniors at home with non-medical care.

As a Homemaker/Companion you will provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and monitor safety, helping clients live independently.

We offer competitive pay starting at $18 per hour, weekly pay, paid time off, and flexible full-time or part-time schedules with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a caregiving or companion role
• Reliable, trustworthy and compassionate

Responsibilities

• Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, cleaning)
• Running errands, grocery shopping, and accompanying clients to appointments or social activities
• Monitoring client’s safety and reporting any concerns to agency and/or family
• Encourage client independence while providing supportive presence
