Job summary

OurCare of Connecticut is seeking Homemakers and Companions in New Fairfield, CT. You will provide companionship, daily living support, and safe home environments to seniors and individuals with disabilities, helping them stay independent at home.

Qualifying candidates have caregiving experience, reliability, and compassion. Flexible scheduling with competitive pay starts at $17 per hour, plus weekly pay, holiday pay, PTO, direct deposit, and health coverage benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a caregiving or companion role.
• Reliable, trustworthy and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, cleaning)
• Running errands, grocery shopping, and accompanying clients to appointments or social activities
• Monitoring client’s safety and reporting any concerns to agency and/or family
• Encourage client independence while providing supportive presence
