Job summary

OurCare of Connecticut seeks Homemakers and Companions to support seniors in New Milford and Danbury, CT. You will provide non-medical assistance, companionship, and help with daily living activities in clients' homes, promoting independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a caregiving or companion role.
• Reliable, trustworthy and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, cleaning)
• Running errands, grocery shopping, and accompanying clients to appointments or social activities
• Monitoring client’s safety and reporting any concerns to agency and/or family
• Encourage client independence while providing supportive presence
