Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a Saturday shift in the Rocky Mount area. The role focuses on providing direct patient care in the client’s home, including personal care and ADL support.

The CNA will work under supervision to assist with transfers, basic nursing tasks, and daily living activities while maintaining patient privacy and dignity. Travel within the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care (bathing, shaving, hair care, mouth care).
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and diets.
• Provide companionship and activities tailored to client needs.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Record and report changes in client condition.
• Complete tasks in EVV app per Aide Plan and time sheets.
