Job summary

Capitol View Home Health Care in Washington, DC is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) for weekend PRN opportunities. Our clients need reliable care seven days a week and we offer weekend assignments to fit your schedule.

As a weekend HHA, you will assist clients with bathing, mobility, daily living tasks, light housekeeping, and provide companionship, under established care plans, while documenting care per agency procedures. CPR/BLS certification is preferred, DC requirements apply.

Qualifications

• HHA training/certification meeting Washington, DC requirements.
• CPR/BLS Certification preferred.
• Dependable transportation to client assignments.
• Reliable Saturday and/or Sunday Availability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in clients' homes.
• Previous Home Health or Personal Care Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Help with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Assist with toileting and activities of daily living
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping related to client care
• Follow the established plan of care
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Complete required documentation and ensure client safety
