Job summary

Capitol View Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide in-home care across Washington, DC. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and one-on-one patient care in clients' homes, with opportunities to pick shifts based on availability.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, mobility, daily living tasks, meal prep, and documentation, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Washington, DC HHA training/cert certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Dependable transportation to patient assignments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently in patients' homes.
• Previous home health/personal care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Help with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Assist with toileting and activities of daily living.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping related to patient care.
• Follow the established plan of care.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Complete required documentation.
• Help patients remain safe and comfortable at home.
