Job summary

Stonington Institute is seeking a weekend Security Guard to protect patients, staff and property at our New London area campuses. This 16-hour/week role runs Saturday and Sunday, 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, offering meaningful work within a leading behavioral health system.

You will monitor buildings and grounds, enforce campus rules, complete rounds and shift reports, and cooperate with clinical and security teams to maintain a safe environment. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security/safety officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend shift report meetings at the beginning of each shift.
• Monitor all buildings/grounds.
• Enforce rules and regulations, including curfew. Check all windows, doors, and locks.
• Inspect outside grounds for trespassers or unauthorized activity.
• Ensure company vehicle(s) at site are locked and secure.
• Complete documentation as required (rounds checklist, HPRs).
• Report on any outside maintenance issues including cleanliness of guest areas.
• Submit end of shift report daily, with incidents and confiscated items documented.
