Job summary

Federal Reserve Board in Anoka, MN is seeking a Gage Coordinator to order, deliver, and oversee gages and calibration records, ensuring approved changes are reflected in gage designs. You will calibrate gages and maintain calibration records on the shop floor, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager.

The role requires blueprint reading, strong communication, and computer skills, with a focus on accuracy and safety on the manufacturing floor. Overtime may be required based on workload.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with inspection/ballistic test methods and equipment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to utilize computer hardware and software.
• Blueprint reading proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Able to work efficiently and cooperatively.
• No disciplinary action at a Report of Conference level or above in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Collects information for requested gages from supervisors or engineering staff and initiates new gage orders.
• Ensures changes are made to gages to reflect approved product/inspection changes.
• Builds new gages as parts arrive from Machine Shop.
• Cleans and calibrates gages and weight scales.
• Repairs or rebuilds damaged or worn gages.
• Orders spare parts for gage repair and collaborates with engineers and production.
• Keeps gage calibration, cleaning and repair records on PC.
• Coordinates with other departments to complete work within guidelines.
• Enforces safety and housekeeping rules and addresses unsafe conditions.
• Inspects tools and machine parts against blueprints using inspection instruments.
