Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Warehouse Agent for the Plainfield, Indiana area to support weekend operations. The role runs Friday through Monday from 10:00am to 9:00pm, handling loading/unloading, staging, and documentation within a warehouse setting.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience, knowledge of warehouse systems, and the ability to manage hazardous goods where applicable. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of scanning freight in/out of the warehouse.
• Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills.
• Able to walk/stand/kneel for long periods and lift 40–50 pounds occasionally.
• Fork lift experience.
• Reach Truck experience is a plus.
• Experience with hazmat/dangerous goods and temperature control is a plus.
• Warehouse management systems (WMS) experience is preferred; Warehouse and/or Freight Forwarding experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates forklift, pallet jack, and related equipment to load, unload and move freight within the warehouse.
• Trained and certified to safely handle dangerous goods (as applicable) and Life Science/Healthcare shipments.
• Conducts staging of freight and handling of IWS freight.
• Completes forms, logs, and other documentation as required.
• Drives productivity improvement measures with the warehouse team.
• Works with various warehouse systems.
