Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Plainfield, Indiana, is seeking a Warehouse Agent for the night shift. The role covers warehousing and distribution tasks including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, labeling, loading/unloading and inventory control. You will operate warehouse equipment and ensure accuracy and safety compliance.

Shift is Monday-Thursday, 5:00pm–4:00am. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of scanning freight in/out of the warehouse
• Detail oriented and strong follow-up skills
• Able to walk/stand/kneel for long periods and lift 40-50 pounds occasionally
• Fork lift experience
• Reach Truck experience is a plus
• Experience with hazmat/dangerous goods and temperature control is a plus
• WMS experience is preferred
• Warehouse/Freight Forwarding industry experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely operates forklift, pallet jack, and warehouse equipment to load, unload and move freight
• Trained to handle dangerous goods and healthcare shipments as applicable
• Staging of freight and handling of IWS freight
• Cleaning of warehouse and dimensioning/weighting of freight
• Completes forms, logs and documentation; reports deviations or non-conformities
• Drives productivity improvements with the warehouse team
• Performs pre/post shipment tasks and reviews shipping containers for conformance
