Job summary

TRDI is seeking a Food Service Worker to support operations on the Grand Forks AFB. The role covers food prep, serving, and sanitation across facilities, with a focus on safety, hygiene, and customer service.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, station setup, inventory, and assisting in tray lines as needed. A ServSafe certification and ability to obtain security clearance are required; high school diploma and 1 year food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or in a dishwasher.
• Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and blocks.
• Operates kitchen utensils to prepare and portion food.
• Prepares hot and cold foods and stores properly.
• Inspects workstations for service standards.
• Keeps records and requisitions for supplies/equipment.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment per rules.
• Sets up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments.
• Performs general stocking in service area.
• Brews coffee and tea.
• Restocks beverage areas as needed.
• Distributes food on tray lines if required.
• Interacts with customers in serving areas.
• Assists customers with opening containers and cutting food.
• Cleans floors; removes trash and maintains cleanliness.
• Transfers supplies within storage and work areas.
• Cleans with chemicals to maintain sanitation.
• Attends allergy and foodborne illness training.
• Follows safety and risk management policies; reports accidents.
• Participates in safety trainings and hazard assessments.
