Job summary

ENVISION HOSPICE seeks a compassionate Hospice Weekend Flex Nurse (RN) to support an interdisciplinary team across the Puget Sound area. The role covers weekend hours with one or two weekdays, offering a flexible 3x10-hour or 4x10-hour workweek and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include pain and symptom management, urgent-response care, and family support, with documentation and on-call coordination. WA RN license required; BLS and EHR proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license required; hospice/palliative care certification (CHPN) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care focused on pain and symptom management for hospice patients.
• Respond promptly to urgent calls, assess situations, and deliver immediate interventions as needed.
• Administer and adjust medications, monitoring effectiveness for optimal comfort.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and address urgent patient needs.
• Support and educate families, offering guidance and reassurance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, assessments, and interventions.
• Manage emergencies and coordinate with the on-call team for additional support.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow hospice care protocols.
