Job summary

Envision Hospice is seeking a Weekend Registered Nurse to provide compassionate hospice care in Kitsap County. This part-time role covers weekends across homes and facilities, focusing on symptom management and patient comfort.

Fluency with EMR systems and strong assessment skills are essential for timely interventions. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, support families, and maintain thorough documentation while enjoying a competitive hourly pay and a supportive work

Qualifications

• Current, active Washington State RN license in good standing.
• Active BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience in hospice or home health preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of healthcare-related experience required.
• Proficient with EMR systems and healthcare technologies.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, and work independently within scope of practice.
• Adaptable to diverse social, cultural, and religious backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality hospice care, focusing on pain and symptom management for patients.
• Respond promptly to urgent calls, assess situations, and deliver appropriate interventions as needed.
• Administer and adjust medications while monitoring effectiveness to ensure patient comfort.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and address urgent patient needs.
• Support, educate, and guide families, offering reassurance throughout the patient’s care journey.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care, assessments, and interventions.
• Manage emergencies and coordinate with the on-call team for additional support when necessary.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospice care protocols.
