Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Fiber Optic Specialist for weekends in Devens, MA. The role supports R&D and production with fiber splicing, testing, and integration while minimizing attenuation and damage.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and other departments to meet goals, in a team setting. The position offers 6:00 am–6:00 pm hours, a pay rate of $38–$48 per hour with a 15% differential, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in fiber optics field applications.
• Experience with attenuation, insertion loss, and spectral analysis measurements.

Responsibilities

• Handle, route, splice, test thousands of fibers in the SPARC fusion machine.
• Perform mechanical integration of small assemblies with fiber work.
• Install fiber wrappings and enclosures around fibers.
