Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc. seeks a dependable Janitor to maintain cleanliness in commercial and medical building settings. You will perform routine cleaning tasks, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and ensure sanitary conditions for occupants and visitors.

You may lift and move supplies, assist with meeting spaces, and collaborate with facility teams while following safety protocols. Shift flexibility includes day and evening hours at a Palo Alto location.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of a sanitary environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in common areas, restrooms, and workspaces.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces and medical equipment as needed.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to guidelines.
• Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed.
• Set up and clean meeting rooms and event spaces; report maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.
