Hearty Boys Caterers is seeking an experienced Catering Event Cook for off-site events across Chicago venues including the Chicago Cultural Center and other venues. Most shifts are on weekends, offering flexible weekend work for seasoned catering professionals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of catering or kitchen experience.
• Off-site catering experience preferred.
• Must have Cook County Food Handler Certificate.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Experience as a cave cook is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for off-site catered events, ensuring quality, consistency, and proper execution
• Work closely with the Head Chef to execute the event menu and maintain kitchen organization
• Coordinate cooking, reheating, holding, and plating as directed by the Head Chef
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and organization throughout the event
• Help load and unload food and kitchen equipment at event venues
• Work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume event kitchen
• Assist with kitchen breakdown and cleanup at the conclusion of the event
