Job summary

Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG) in Chattanooga seeks an experienced Triage Veterinary Technician to join the Emergency team. The role focuses on efficient ER flow, patient assessment, and compassionate family communication.

Ideal candidates excel under pressure, are technically proficient in phlebotomy, IV placement, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics, and value mentorship within a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technicians preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience; specialty or emergency experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with emergency protocols and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess incoming patients and keep the ER flowing smoothly.
• Support veterinarians and specialists during exams and emergency procedures.
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patient families.
