Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG) in Chattanooga seeks an experienced Triage Veterinary Technician to join the Emergency team. The role focuses on efficient ER flow, patient assessment, and compassionate family communication.

Ideal candidates excel under pressure, are technically proficient in phlebotomy, IV placement, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics, and value mentorship within a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technicians preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience; specialty or emergency experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with emergency protocols and client communication.

What You Can Expect To Do

As aTriage Technicianin our busy ER,you’llbe a crucial part of ensuring every patient gets the right care at the right time.You’llassess incoming patients, keep the ER flowing smoothly,maintainclear, compassionate communication with patient families,and supportour veterinarians and specialists during exams and emergency procedures. Your technicalexpertisein phlebotomy, IV catheter placement,advancedanesthesia monitoring, anddiagnosticswork will make a real difference in critical moments. What You Have:

You are compassionate and detail-oriented, experienced in emergency, urgent care, or specialty practice. You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks smoothly while maintaining a strict focus on accuracy during critical moments. Highly skilled technically, you are proficient in advanced venipuncture, IV catheterization, in-house diagnostics, and medical calculations. Patient safety and care are your priorities; you are well-versed in emergency protocols, CPR, "Fear Free" handling, and the "5 Rights of Medications." An excellent communicator and true team player, you bring both clinical excellence and heart to every shift.
