Job summary

Independence Health System Inc. is seeking an experienced RN Weekend to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a designated patient group.

You will coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes and maintain safety and quality of care. You will lead and participate in a collaborative environment, guiding GN, LPN, and other support staff, while adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences and teams.
• Nursing refresher may be required if absent from acute care for 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update professional knowledge through workshops and publications.
• Adhere to standards of care, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Document care in patient records and communicate effectively across teams.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and support to patients and families.
• Supervise and mentor other nursing staff as applicable within scope.
