Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in Emergency Room for weekend shifts to ensure high-quality, compassionate care. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment.

The role emphasizes pain management, rapid assessment, patient education, and advocacy, with opportunities to participate in hospital councils and nursing initiatives that shape patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

Qualifications

RN license and nursing diploma required.
Training in pediatric emergency care or trauma nursing core course within 1 year of start date.
ACLS required within 30 days; ATLS/ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
Perform procedures and monitor patients; document care in the medical record.
Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to provide exceptional care.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment, medications, and follow-up.
Explain non-medical follow-up measures and help prepare for self-management.
