Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Correctional EMT/Paramedic to join our team at the Forsyth County Detention Center in Winston-Salem, NC. We are hiring for part-time weekend shifts on both day and night hours to supplement schedules and gain experience in correctional healthcare.

New graduates are encouraged to apply; training in correctional healthcare will be provided. Duties include emergency response, patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and intake screenings in a unique

Qualifications

• Complete EMT or Paramedic program.
• State EMT/Paramedic licensure eligibility.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Active BLS/CPR certification (AHA preferred).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and administer medications with other staff.
• Perform patient assessments and document findings.
• Record vital signs and medical history, including medications.
• Assist with intake screenings and emergency response.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies in the facility.
• Ensure inmate safety during procedures and transport.
• Observe changes in health and report to nurses.
