NaphCare is seeking a Staff Physician to join the Forsyth County Detention Center in Winston-Salem, NC. As a Correctional Staff Physician, you will provide quality medical care to patients within a correctional facility, collaborating with officers and medical teams.

The role involves exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and emergency response, with a focus on patient rights, dignity, and health. A competitive benefits package and career advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current unrestricted medical license (North Carolina)
• Current DEA registration (Florida)
• Active BLS/CPR certification (AHA preferred)
• Board certification by a specialty recognized by ABMS
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient computer skills
• Experience in general medicine and collaboration with medical teams
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies
• Criminal background check and drug screening required

Responsabilités

• Perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, and manage chronic conditions
• Evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate care
• Lead and participate in medical trainings and education
• Conduct rounds in medical and infirmary units
• Ensure compliance with state and federal mandates
• Collaborate with medical staff to meet patient needs
