NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a Nurse Practitioner for the Forsyth County Jail in Winston-Salem, NC.
You will work with correctional officers and medical staff to provide comprehensive care to incarcerated individuals, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication management in a high-security setting. This role requires NC NP licensure, DEA registration, BLS certification, and ABMS board certification.
NaphCare is hiring a Nurses Practitionerto join our team of medical professionals in Forsyth County Jail, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Winston-Salem, NC.
As a Correctional Nurse Practitioner (NP, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with a range of medical conditions and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, respond to emergencies, etc. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

Physical Capabilities:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
