Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the Syracuse area to provide respite and assist with personal care for a man who uses a wheelchair. This is a per diem role with weekend shifts and potential weekday coverage.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good communication and organizational skills. Prior experience with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology to download multiple apps and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite and assist with personal care tasks.
• Support a person with a physical disability who uses a wheelchair.
• Maintain reliable schedule for weekend shifts and possible weekday shifts.
• Follow agency policies and technology usage policies.
