Job summary

Velocity MSC is seeking a dedicated Dispatch professional in Holland, OH to act as the communications hub between customers and Velocity field technicians. You will manage job dispatches, schedule visits, and ensure timely information flow to keep work on track.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, basic networking knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and Outlook. Training is provided onsite during the initial days, with opportunities for growth within the company.

General Summary

Velocity is seeking to hireDispatchersto act as a communication point for our Velocity Field Technicians and customers. The Dispatch Coordinators receive requests, transmit messages and schedule technicians from the Velocity database to customer sites. This position involves verifying arrivals, negotiating pricing with technicians, and following up on scheduled appointments.

The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in challenging situations. Ideal candidates also will be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.

The following shifts are available below:

8am-6:30pm EST (Friday-Monday)

10am-8:30pm EST (Friday-Monday)

1pm-11:30pm (Friday-Monday)

*Must be able to train during the day onsite M-F from 9am-5:30pm EST*

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch jobs sent to us from our customers to the technicians in our database.
• Schedule appointments for the jobs with the technicians.
• Work with customers to gain access to job sites as required.
• Verify the technicians are not missing their appointments.
• Recruit technicians for current and/or future jobs.
• Coordinate getting “special” equipment to job sites for technicians to use.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Velocity does not sponsor employment-based visas or provide sponsorship for this position.

• Have a High school diploma or GED.
• Can work one weekend day each week.
• Have excellent telephone etiquette and portray confidence in speaking with people over the telephone.
