Job summary

Friendship Community Care is seeking a Part Time Direct Support Professional to join our Russellville home and community program. You will work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) assisting clients with daily living tasks, transportation, and personal care in a respectful, HIPAA-compliant environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience), a valid Arkansas driver’s license, good communication, and basic math and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED, or two or more years’ experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information.
• Mathematical/Computer skills: basic arithmetic, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks such as showers, dressing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, preparing and planning meals, and budgeting.
• Provides transportation to and from activities and appointments; a valid Arkansas Driver's License is required.
• Maintains documentation and reports; completes required forms and records.
• Follows medication-management guidelines and monitors documentation.
• Organizes and carries out recreational activities for clients.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
