Job summary

Shore Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional for weekend shifts in Evanston, Morton Grove, and Skokie. Schedule is Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with part-time/flexible role type.

Responsibilities include supporting residents with daily routines, meals, activities, and building independent living skills, while remaining an advocate and mentor for health, safety, and well-being. Training is provided as needed, with emphasis on teamwork and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DSP certification - or the drive to complete full training with us upon hire.
• Valid Illinois driver's license & auto insurance.
• Ability to assist with physical support/lifting and wear non-slip shoes.

Responsibilities

• Create a Positive Home Vibe by supporting residents with daily routines, healthy meals, activities, and independent living skills.
• Explore the Community with outings and appointments, helping residents stay connected and active.
• Be an Advocate & Mentor, serving as a positive role model while ensuring health, safety, and well-being.
• Keep Progress Going by tracking daily milestones, and coordinating with the team.
