Job summary

InCommunity in Austell, GA seeks a Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) for weekend-only, part-time work to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least six (6) months of direct support experience; two (2) or more years preferred.
• Current valid driver’s license and evidence of personal liability insurance; ability to meet driving standards.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certification required, or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• DSP I certification through approved program (UGA, NADSP, or equivalent) required or obtained within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered services that promote choice, dignity, and independence.
• Support ISP and behavior support plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist with activities of daily living, medication administration (as authorized), transportation, and community participation.
• Safely transport individuals in company vehicles to outings, work, and day programs.
• Complete required documentation and reporting accurately and timely (e.g., Therap documentation, shift notes).
• Collaborate with team, participate in trainings and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality; follow scheduling policies.
• Model best practices in documentation, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.
