Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Parkville, MD to help adults with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives. This part-time DSP role involves supporting daily routines, meals, transportation, and community activities.

Work schedule is Saturday and Sunday 8 AM–8 PM. Pay range is $20–$23.50 per hour, depending on experience and certifications. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO and a 403(b) plan.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and provide physical assistance when needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).
• High School diploma or better.
• 1 year DSP or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care.
• Support people in preparing meals of their choice and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care.
