Job summary

Lowe is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs in daily living, health monitoring, and community integration in Georgia. You will support personal care, housekeeping, and transportation under the ISP/POC, with weekend shifts (8AM-8PM) and a focus on promoting independence.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or GED.
2+ years experience working with individuals who have a dual diagnosis (Mental Illness and Developmental Disability).
CNA license required to perform personal care tasks.
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
CPI certification required.
Must pass criminal background checks and provide TB screening.
Must be 18 years or older.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Georgia driver’s license with a clean 7-year driving record.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide support with medication administration and health monitoring.
Assist in nutrition, meal preparation, and feeding when necessary.
Help individuals develop daily living skills and promote independence per ISP/POC.
Provide positive behavioral support and communication assistance.
Participate in activities within the home and community as outlined in individual care plans.
Monitor health and safety, report changes to supervisor, and assist in medical appointments.
Maintain daily activity and health monitoring records.
