Lowe's Guardian Angel in Ellenwood, GA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily living activities, health monitoring, and community integration. This role includes weekend shifts (8AM-8PM Sat/Sun) and requires compassion, reliability, and adherence to ISP/POC.

You will help with personal care, nutrition, light housekeeping, document care progress, and coordinate with supervisors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years experience with dual diagnosis.
CNA certification required.
CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
CPI certification required.
Valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide support with medication administration and health monitoring.
Assist in nutrition, meal preparation, and feeding when necessary.
Help individuals develop daily living skills and promote independence according to their Service Plan (ISP/POC).
Provide positive behavioral support and communication assistance.
Participate in activities within the home and community as outlined in individual care plans.
Light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and dishwashing.
Monitor individuals' health and safety, report changes to the supervisor, and assist in medical appointments.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress notes, and health monitoring.
