Job summary

Lowe's Guardian Angel in Ellenwood, GA seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs, supporting daily living, personal care, and community participation.

The role requires CNA license, CPR/First Aid, CPI certification, and willingness to work weekends. You will report to the supervisor, maintain accurate records, transport clients, and promote independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience with individuals with dual diagnosis.
• CNA license required for personal care tasks.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required.
• CPI certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Provide medication administration support and health monitoring.
• Assist with nutrition and meal preparation.
• Support development of daily living skills and independence.
• Provide positive behavioral support and communication assistance.
• Transport individuals to community services and activities.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, grocery and fridge maintenance.
• Monitor health and safety, report changes to supervisor, attend medical appointments.
