Job summary

Ameriwell Care is hiring Weekend Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support for an individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities on weekends. This role offers consistent weekend hours and meaningful, person-centered assistance within the community.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, reliability, and adherence to the ISP and safety guidelines, with opportunities for growth and additional shifts as available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Dependable and committed to working scheduled weekend hours.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
• Willing to complete required NJ DDD training and background-clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support based on the person’s needs and goals.
• Support daily living skills and independence.
• Accompany the individual on community outings and recreational activities.
• Encourage socialization and community participation.
• Assist with shopping, errands, meals, and other daily activities.
• Provide companionship and positive, person-centered support.
• Assist with personal care when needed.
• Provide transportation when required for the assignment.
• Follow the ISP, safety guidelines, and support strategies.
• Complete required service documentation and daily notes.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance for weekend shifts.

Ameriwell Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities on weekends.

What You'll Do

As a Weekend DSP, you will provide individualized support based on the person’s needs and goals. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the individual with daily living skills and independence
