Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and perform clinical exams in line with established standards.

Requirements include ARDMS registration in two specialties, BCLS certification, and at least two years of experience. The candidate will provide patient care across neonatal to geriatric ages and collaborate with radiology staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program is required.
• 2 years of experience is required.
• ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties; BCLS - Basic Life Support required; RVs or RVt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
