Job summary

Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, CO, is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a weekend option, providing high-quality imaging and patient-centered care. You will perform abdominal, obstetric, pelvic, vascular, and other ultrasound procedures, serving as a clinical resource for the imaging unit.

Requirements include ARDMS certification (RDMS OB/GYN, AB, or BR) or ARRT RT(S) with BLS, plus a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D required.
• ARDMS registered; RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR); or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT); or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS).
• BLS through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts and vascular.
• May perform cardiac procedures as required.
• Maintain ALARA radiation safety and produce quality images in a timely manner.
• Instruct patients and family, observe patient status, and document findings.
• Maintain equipment operation and log service calls as needed.
• Input charges and data for procedures and supplies.
