Job summary

Truvant in Texas is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee shipping/receiving, inventory control, and on-time order fulfillment. You will lead multiple shifts and coordinate with production and QA to ensure timely, accurate shipments.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory warehouse experience and 2–5 years in warehousing, with familiarity in QAD. You will train staff on safety and processes while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Job description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for all aspects of shipping/receiving/inventory that ensures on-time shipments to our customers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supervising all warehouse personnel on all shifts and key account shipments from any warehouse locations.
  • Responsible for making sure all shipments leave on time, accurately, and with complete paperwork.
  • Responsible for making sure that all incoming products are verified, received, and put away in a timely fashion.
  • Work with Plant Managers and Production Manager and Quality Manager to be sure you are aware of upcoming shipping needs, special builds, or seasonal builds that may require increased resources.
  • Responsible for all inventory in the warehouse and maintaining acceptable accuracy levels through physical counts.
  • Be sure all warehouse personnel are trained on proper forklift procedures and general warehouse safety.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the inventory system QAD and many other software programs used in shipping/receiving.
  • Responsible for third party warehousing shipments to the customer and tracking of the loads, if necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in warehousing
  • On the job training provided

  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense

  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products
