Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our occupational health team at a major manufacturing facility in Canton, MS. You will greet and care for patients, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and assist clinicians with occupational injuries and tests.

This role includes weekend 12-hour shifts on a part-time schedule, with strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Certification as CMA (AAMA/AMT/ARMA) or eligibility required.
• Two years of patient care experience, preferably in a health center/office.
• CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain before starting employment.
• Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout shift.
• Occupational health experience is a plus.
• Strong professionalism and customer service in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient computer skills; MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam areas; measure vital signs.
• Prepare treatment rooms for exams and assist clinicians.
• Administer first aid and operate ECG, spirometry, X-ray, and hearing booth equipment.
• Perform injections or treatments per protocol and maintain documentation.
• Assist at front desk and support administrative tasks.
• Maintain sterile technique and inventory of medical supplies.
