Job summary

ProgressiveHealth Occ Health, LLC in Canton, MS is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our occupational health team at a major manufacturing facility. The role includes patient intake, vital signs, room preparation, assisting with injuries, and performing routine diagnostics.

Ideal candidate holds CMA certification or eligibility, CPR/AED, 2 years patient care, strong confidentiality and computer skills; weekend 12-hour shifts; benefits including PTO, holidays, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with CMA certification or eligibility.
• Two years of patient care experience in health center/clinic preferred.
• CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain before starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patients, measures vital signs.
• Prepares treatment rooms for exams.
• Assists with occupational injuries and illnesses care.
• Disinfects and maintains clean treatment rooms.
• Maintains exam rooms and supplies; sterilization.
• Aids in inventory and logs (refrigerated temps, etc.).
• Administers first aid and operates EKG, Spirometry, X-ray, hearing booth.
• Performs injections or treatments as ordered.
